"One Body, Many Lines" Electronic Cable on Canvas by Patience Adekunle.
Against a yellow ground, four sculptural coils rise off the canvas like a crown. The face beneath is assembled from hundreds of cut cable segments, no two quite the same colour, and a coiled USB lead sits at the ear where an earring would. One surface, thousands of separate lives.
Patience Adekunle builds portraits entirely from recycled electronic cable. Stripped, cut and laid piece by piece, discarded charging leads and electrical wire become skin, braid and gaze — portraiture with a near-sculptural relief, and an argument about waste built into its surface.
