A three-quarter turn against hot pink. Yellow wire loops at both ears, a collar of green cable at the throat. The title is the idea: a portrait as a closed loop, still carrying current.
Patience Adekunle builds portraits entirely from recycled electronic cable. Stripped, cut and laid piece by piece, discarded charging leads and electrical wire become skin, braid and gaze — portraiture with a near-sculptural relief, and an argument about waste built into its surface.
