Ifeoluwa kalejaiye

Ife Kalejaiye (b. 1997, Ondo State, Nigeria) is a self-taught contemporary artist whose emotionally charged figurative work explores the complex intersections between thought, mood, and memory. Deeply inspired by personal experiences and his surrounding environment, Ife’s practice is grounded in a deep emotional intuition — translating quiet reflection into vibrant visual storytelling.

Known for his use of atmospheric lighting, subtle symbolism, and expressive colour palettes, Ife creates scenes that feel both intimate and expansive. His signature figures often appear contemplative and inward-facing, inviting the viewer to pause, reflect, and engage in a quiet dialogue with the work.

Ife’s work has been exhibited across Nigeria, and he is widely regarded as a rising talent in the West African art scene. With each painting, he continues to explore what it means to feel — and to be seen

"I create Paintings that feel like moments suspended in time. Through subtle gesture, colour and scale. I question what is revealed in stillness, positioning painting as a space for emotional speculation and quiet intensity"
