Prince Obasi b. 1981, a figurative painter hailing from Port Harcourt, Nigeria, is exploding in the global art world. Bibianna is exited to be exhibiting some of his latest work. Obasi has been defining a distinctive artistic style since his formal training at Yaba College of Technology, Lagos, where he earned a Higher National Diploma in Fine Art in 2009. Known for his unique reinterpretation of 19th-century European bourgeois portraiture, Obasi incorporates square eyes and exaggerated expressions to infuse classical aesthetics with modern.
