Attached
In Attached, connection takes form - intimate, tense, and quietly luminous. Two male figures occupy the canvas in mirrored solitude: one faces forward, open and exposed; the other turns away, his back a silent gesture of distance. Between them, delicately suspended, an amber sphere glows - not as ornament, but as bond.
Set against a deep burgundy ground, their sculpted bodies are rendered with extraordinary sensitivity to light and anatomy. Warm flesh tones dissolve into cool shadows, building not only volume, but emotional resonance. Here, the duality of presence and absence, of closeness and separation, becomes palpable.
Attached is less a portrait than a meditation - on interdependence, on the invisible threads that tether us to one another, and on the fragile equilibrium between intimacy and autonomy. It invites us to reflect:
How do we carry each other, even when facing in different directions?
